For those in the Medina, do bear in mind that on some of the pedestrianized streets, our vehicle cannot go all the way to the riad door, so a meeting point close by will be made. On arrival, you will meet the guide and be given your gear. An old hand at riding would do well to stay for the briefing, the desert being what it is. For the uninitiated, a bit of practice with the speed and steering is in order.

The guide will then take charge of the group and the route. The tracks are anything but even, and the landscape is wide and dry. It is not about putting in the miles but to have an experience of a different sort from the city, and the guide will call a halt now and then for the views.
